Needs Assessment for the Animal Welfare Curriculum for the Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) Degree in Zimbabwe

Animal welfare is a day one competency requirement for veterinarians the world over. In Zimbabwe, as well in other countries globally, animal was taught to students Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) degree but never assessed standalone course. A need assessment conducted determine curriculum Zimbabwe. An interviewer administered questionnaire which captured both qualitative and quantitative responses used data collection. All respondents suggested that there BVSc Most popular reason cited by participants (100%) course no stand-alone available. Components include: Science, ethics law. relevant programme Zimbabwe whose contents should include science, ethics, law behaviour.
